Internet marketing consultancy

Marketing that compounds, measured honestly

We are an independent internet marketing consultancy. We fix what is broken, prioritize what actually moves revenue, and report against numbers you can audit — including when something we recommended did not work.

Most marketing spend does not compound. Here is why.

The dominant failure mode in internet marketing is not bad execution. It is activity without a mechanism. Teams publish, advertise, post and optimize — and twelve months later they cannot say which of those things produced a customer. Without a mechanism, budget becomes a matter of opinion, and opinion loses to whoever argues hardest in the budget meeting.

We start by fixing the mechanism, then the activity. That order matters more than any tactic we could name.

No baseline

Without a documented starting position, no improvement can be proven and no budget decision can be defended. Most engagements we inherit begin here — measuring what exists before changing anything.

Activity reported as outcome

"50 blog posts published" and "10,000 impressions" are outputs. They are not revenue, and reporting them as such is how budgets get wasted for years without anyone noticing.

Channels chosen by familiarity

The channel a team already understands gets the budget, regardless of whether it can ever work for that business at that margin.

No AI visibility considered

A large share of buying research now happens inside AI answers. If you are not a citable source there, you are invisible to a growing part of the consideration phase.

What we do

Twelve service lines, but they are not twelve separate businesses. They are one system: earn attention, convert it, keep the customer, and prove it worked.

How an engagement actually runs

Every engagement follows the same four phases. The timeline varies; the order does not. Skipping straight to tactics without a baseline is the single most common way marketing budgets are wasted.

Step 1

Diagnose

We measure the starting position properly — analytics accuracy, technical health, competitive set, and what the numbers actually mean. You get a written diagnosis whether or not you continue with us.
Step 2

Prioritize

We rank every opportunity by expected impact against effort and cost, then cut the list down to what can realistically be done this quarter. Most audits produce fewer priorities than clients expect. That is the point.
Step 3

Execute

Either we implement or your team does, agreed in writing. If your team implements, you get the specification detailed enough that an in-house marketer can execute it without calling us for every decision.
Step 4

Measure

We report against the baseline we captured in phase one, and we say plainly when something did not work. The report leads with what changed, not with what we did.

Why AI search is part of SEO now, not a separate discipline

Google's own guidance is that optimising for generative AI search is still SEO, and that the same fundamentals apply. That is correct, and it is also incomplete. The practical change is in how content gets selected for citation.

A classic search engine ranks links. An AI answer engine retrieves passages and synthesises an answer, then cites a small number of sources. That changes what "good content" means in three specific ways.

None of this requires special files or secret markup. It requires writing that is genuinely extractable, evidence-dense and clear about entities. We cover the mechanics in AI search optimization and the evidence in the AI Overviews guide.

Industries we work in

The mechanics of internet marketing are universal. What differs is the conversion economics, the buying cycle and what a good result looks like. These are the sectors where we know that economics well enough to be useful on day one.

How to tell whether a marketing consultancy is any good

Four questions, asked in the first call, will tell you more than any case study on their website.

  1. "What is my conversion rate, and how do you know?" If they cannot answer within a sentence, they have not measured your business.
  2. "What will you remove, not add?" Good consultants cut. A plan that only adds channels is a plan that has not been prioritized.
  3. "What happens if this does not work?" The answer should involve measurement and honesty, not a guarantee.
  4. "Show me a report you gave a client that went badly." If every engagement is a success story, the reporting is curated.

We have written more on this in how to choose a marketing agency.
